Raising healthy kids
Without messing up their body image

From the office of Emma Wright, Family Body Confidence Consultant.
Dear smart caring parent,
If you’d like to build a fence at the top of the body image cliff for your children (and help prevent eating disorders and lifelong body shame)…
Then this is going to be a powerful and important talk for you to attend.
Just so you’re clear…
This talk is not about easy fixes. And it’s going to take some work on your part.
It’s not about sorting out your child’s lunchbox or motivating them into a better exercise routine. It’s not about telling you the one secret that will fix everything. There are no hacks and no one-size-fits-all here. Parenting and health alike are way too nuanced and subtle for that.
But if you take on board the information you’re about to learn and use it wisely…
You can make a massive difference to your children: the way they feel about themselves, their confidence and their body image.
And the best bit?
You’ll know your children have a robust fence between them and life-threatening, life-sucking, shame-inducing body image issues.
How it’s going to work…
When you click the “Yes please, I’d love to attend…” button, fill in your details and you’ll be sent a link to closed facebook group – this group is where the live talk will be hosted.
You’ll also be sent a free downloadable workbook to take notes. Remember to look for the email with the workbook.
The live talk starts at 8 pm (NZ time) sharp and will be available to watch for 48 hours. After that, the replay will disappear.
I look forward to seeing you there…
This was mind-blowingly incredible. I related to so much of it. This is such important work!!!! It’s so clear and concise and well done, and I want everyone I know to watch this!!!!
I have learned so. So much more than I expected. I think this is a talk I will remember for a long time. You’ve given me great messages that will change me in a positive way + help our family together have a much more positive view on our bodies.
Wow, this is SO well done! It really resonated with me. My interest in hearing it came from my own ‘issues’ around food and body image that have grown in to a whole new space as my son (about to turn 11) has become ‘chubby’ in the past 2 years (the child who was in the bottom 3percent for weight in his first 8 years or so!) I’m worried about how he’s talking to himself and thinking about himself and want to approach it in the most loving, compassionate way. In my work I support parents in the early years with gentle, connected parenting and this is absolutely a crucial part of it!
