In some cultures, doctors only get paid when their patients are well. The healthier their community, the wealthier they become.
In our culture, doctors get paid to fix what has already gone wrong and the more wrong it has gone, often, the wealthier the doctor.
Let’s look at what we are valuing here, seen from the perspective or where we are putting our money.
We place huge value on fixing what is wrong and almost no value on preserving or even noticing what is right.
Is that the fault of the medical system, and we, therefore, have no say, or could we shift that value for ourselves?
